It was over thirty years ago that I obtained my real estate license. I had always loved houses and had considered a career in architecture when I was younger as envisioning what could be was a love of mine. Previously, I was involved in the family jewelry business and ran my own store.

I watched my father care more about the people and their needs than making the big sale. I attribute my real estate philosophy to him. Buying and selling a home is not a small decision and it takes an agent who puts your needs first. While holding my license, I also taught school.

Teaching reinforced my patience and ability to listen. One compliment my students paid me was that I was fair—a trait I bring to the table. Many experiences have led me to where I am today: working third shift, waitress, trainer, going through a divorce, merging families, raising kids, etc. My expertise is vast as is my creativity in strategizing how to reach the goal. Some realtors find houses, I find homes!

Denise Resendiz is a true Northern Virginian, born and raised in Loudoun County. Her roots run deep, from her childhood in Hamilton to her current home in Boyce, where she's been since 2019. With three years of experience in the restaurant industry, Denise brings a blend of patience, positivity, and a knack for customer service to her real estate work.

Hailing from a lineage of Mexican merchants, Denise inherited a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Growing up alongside her father's fence building business in Loudoun County, she learned the ropes of business management from a young age. Her journey into the workforce began at just thirteen, working at a local strawberry farm, where she honed her skills in customer service and management.

But it was at fifteen when Denise discovered her true passion for real estate. Guiding her parents through their first home buying experience ignited a fire within her to help others find not just a house, but a place they can truly call home. Her firsthand experience in real estate transactions, coupled with her genuine care for people, makes her uniquely suited to serve buyers and sellers alike.

Outside of real estate, Denise finds solace in the tranquility of Boyce, surrounded by nature. You can often find her running through the trees, baking sweet treats in her kitchen, or strumming melodies on her ukulele. My passion for real estate began during my high school years in 1986. At the age of 16, I started working part-time for a graphics company that created layouts for New Homes Magazines. I loved exploring different home styles and meticulously proofreading all the details. After high school, I ventured into various careers, predominantly within new home construction. My journey through the construction process allowed me to gain comprehensive skills and knowledge.

In 1992, I relocated to Northern Wisconsin, where I further honed my construction expertise by working for Weather Shield Windows for six years, building custom windows. In 1993, I married my beautiful wife Barbara, and we started a family in Wisconsin. However, in 1998, longing for my home state and the familiar surroundings of my youth, I returned to Virginia with my wife and two children. Upon returning to Virginia, I transitioned to the transportation industry, but my passion for construction and real estate never waned. In 1999, we purchased a home in Berkeley County, West Virginia, where we have happily resided ever since.

My journey into real estate is driven by my love for the security that home ownership brings and my desire to assist others in finding their dream homes. Whether buying or selling a home, it is a significant responsibility.
